This is a contract position with our client in San Ramon, CA.  Schedule is Flexible but have to be available Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:30-5:30

Our client has a unique opportunity for a temporary Accountant/Admin Assistant to provide the Controller of a new software
enterprise acquisition with assistance on financial-related and office administration tasks. The ideal candidate has excellent computer skills and a strong understanding of basic accounting principles. We’re looking for a self starting, highly detailed professional who is willing to jump in and help where needed.

Part of the task at hand is preparing for an office move. In addition to monthly accounting duties we will be inventorying, organizing, disposing of and packing historical records for relocation.

Responsibilities Support most the Controller in accounting duties (accounts payable, account reconciliations etc.)

 Accounts Payable
o Manage the procurement process, including contract review, management approval, finance review, purchase order creation and invoice validation, entry, and payment
 Prepare and submit Balance Sheet account reconciliation accounts monthly
 Participate in relocation planning meetings
 Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
 Assist in integration activities, as needed, while preserving the integrity of the local accounting data
 Support the daily operations of the office
 Work to consolidate, organize and move files and records both the virtual records storage as well as local records.
 Keep all incoming contracts tracked and organized through the approval process, then scanned and archived appropriately.


 Can do, dig in, positive attitude a must
 Proven experience in a related accounting position
 2+ years’ experience working in the accounting field. Preferably with some accounts payable experience
 Small to medium sized office environment experience with many hats useful
 Solid Microsoft Excel skills
 Fundamental knowledge of accounting and financial processes
 Software industry experience preferred but not required
 Working knowledge financial software, preferably QuickBooks
 Well-organized with ability to prioritize
 Very good communication and interpersonal skills
 Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
