This is a contract position with our client in Elgin, IL.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations: 

The Seed Stock Management and Radio Provisioning function is responsible for expedited programming, provisioning and shipment to select customers who have signed up for this expedited delivery service. Experience: 1 - 3 years. Plan and coordinate, programming of mobile and portable radios and shipment to Fortune 100 markets. Assist to coordinate activities including organize and pack radio kits for shipment. Drive process improvement and brainstorm corrective actions and resolve issues with the team, and provide support for new product transfers, ensuring smooth product ramp up, timely shipping to customer and mass production. Provide support for inventory controls on the materials required in and out of the manufacturing facility. Setting up of part list required for the product.

REQUIREMENTS: Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechantronics Engineering. Good Communication skills, problem solving skills, independent, organized, able to react to changes quickly. 

● Must have knowledge of IT systems such as IP Networking, Operating Systems, VMware (Vsphere), and remote access protocols (SSH, RDP, SCP) 
● Must be very computer literate with proficiency in Windows Office Suite, Windows OS, and Google applications Suite 
● Must have self-management skills and people skills to work closely with Motorola’s customers as well as Motorola Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and customer service teams 
● Must be able to solve customer problems quickly during stressful situations 
● Must be able to work well in a group setting, collaborating with other team members to resolve technical issues 
● 1- 2 Years experience in Systems maintenance, troubleshooting and repair 

Duties may also include: 

● Perform preventative maintenance system checks to ensure proper system operation 
● May have to work evening hours from time to time (10% - 15%) to apply patch updates during customer maintenance windows 
● Developing, maintaining, and updating internal process documentation 
● Working on process improvement initiatives throughout the year 

Specific Knowledge/Skills: 

● Bachelor's Degree in IT related field preferred 
● OR 2 year associate's in electronics and at least one network certification: 
○ Network+ 
○ Security+ 
○ Related certification 
● Experience working/communicating directly with customers 
● Must be capable of installation of server OS, software application updates and troubleshooting to resolve system/application related issues 
● The ideal candidate must demonstrate systems experience and have some understanding of the following: 
○ Understanding of Routers, Switches, and LAN/WAN configurations 
○ Operating Systems: Windows Server, ESXi VMware, Red Hat Linux, Windows Desktop Operating Systems 
● Excellent communication and customer service skills to promote and demonstrate an attitude of teamwork, cooperation, and customer service 
● Promptly respond to customer needs in a professional and enthusiastic manner
