The role requires experience with architecture, deploying, and supporting the next generation of integrated Software Engineering tools ecosystem. This is self-motivated, thrives in working across multiple teams, and can use technology to solve complex business problems. 

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations 

With over 4000 software engineers, the IT Software Engineering Tools Team provides services that enable engineers to work in a faster, more agile way that increases productivity and innovation. This position is for a senior DevOps support engineer within the IT Front Office organization.
  • Owns end-to-end responsibility for building, deploying, supporting & on-boarding teams to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipeline. 
  • Collect and document clear and complete business requirements for integrating various tools and workflows. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, and project leads (IT and/or Business) to deliver projects 
  • Deploy and maintain the enterprise software development ecosystem, including applications such as IBM CLM (DNG), Atlassian Bitbucket & JIRA, JFrog Artifactory, and more. This includes installation of new applications, configuration and integration. 
  • Lead cross-functional teams exploring, developing, validating, and implementing robust and scalable integration solutions to improve engineering efficiency. 
  • Work in a multi-vendor environment to resolve complex issues. 

Technical Knowledge/Skills Required: 

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or computer engineering or software engineering 
  • Good understanding of Application/Software Development Life Cycle management tools and systems
  • Knowledge of the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA, Bitbucket/Git, JIRA API) or IBM CLM platform is a plus 
  • Docker (including Swarm, Compose, Notary), AWS concepts & services, Git, pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Concourse CI, Bamboo, etc.), build managers (e.g., Gradle, Mavent, etc.), Puppet, Chef, Urbancode Deploy, OpenShift 
  • 4+ years experience programming languages including at least two: JavaScript, (2 years)Python, Ruby, Groovy/Java 

  • Working knowledge and experience of SOA using RESTful web services and API platform integrations. Knowledge of OSLC is a plus 
  • Familiarity with container based and microservices deployment and management 
  • Ability to work in a Windows and Linux based environment
