Analytics Manager

Seattle, WA

The role is responsible for performance analyses, test design and measurement, projected impact, and forecasting, as well as enabling data solutions for business partners as they seek to improve customer experience, drive long-term customer value, and ultimately expand the bottom line.  You will have access to a plethora of marketing and customer level data, as well as the ability to ensure more data is collected where needed. This role is a "manger-doer" and will report directly into the Head of Marketing Analytics and will also be part of the Centralized Analytics leadership team.

Success in this role requires a strong bias for action and the ability to execute daily at the highest level. In addition to a deep technical background and analytical mind, the candidate will demonstrate strong organizational agility and executive presence. They should be able to share knowledge, influence and execute through differing degrees of talent and experience.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Identify and manage appropriate methods, tools, and technology to empower the analytics team
  • Show expertise in A/B testing and mentor the team on best practices and process optimization
  • Partner with the Marketing team on initiatives, metrics, business cases and strategy
  • Develop deep subject matter expertise in marketing operations and core customer experience 
  • Be informed on industry trends in marketing performance measurement and optimization
  • Engage with Data Engineering and BI teams to create data solutions to ensure the success of your team
  • Assist Marketing Leadership with effectively planning roadmaps and prioritizing projects
  • Collaborate with others to achieve customer experience goals (e.g., annual financial results)
  • Initiate and drive strategic optimization and testing based on data and insights
  • Present insights and analyses to C-level leadership
  • Effectively lead through others; Develop high performing team of analysts and data experts

 

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of related experience in an analytical field or occupation
  • 2+ years of leadership and people management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Information Systems or related field
  • Exceptional skills with Excel, SQL, and manual data analysis
  • Experienced with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate solutions built from more complex tools such as R and Python
  • Experienced with either hands-on or applied advanced statistical methods and model development
  • Strong knowledge of marketing analytics and the marketing domain, including performance metrics and optimization techniques
  • Strong fundamental understanding of ecommerce and retail environments
  • High financial acumen & experience partnering with organizations responsible for large dollar impact
  • Experience in a high paced, high volume multi-tasking role and environment
